The brushstroke once belonged to mastery, the patient hand, the measured line, the form earned through discipline. For Chinese New Year 2026, Martell rewinds the gesture to its first breath. Here, calligraphy returns to instinct. In the Year of the Horse, movement precedes meaning. The project unfolds as a studio caught mid-gesture, where paint surges wet across the floor, where 2D and 3D bleed into each other, where form has not yet chosen what it will become. Built on the tension of the tamed and the untamed, it pulses through blue, red, and gold, the colors of a gallop sketched into the air.
